Q: What does your company do and how long has it been in operation?
A:
Since 2002, Connexion Technologies has been the country’s premier fiber-optic amenity company. It invests its capital to design, build and operate Fiber to the Home (FTTH) networks in single family, multi-family, high rise, resort and hospitality properties nationwide.

Q: To what do you attribute your company's success in the communications industry?
A:
Connexion Technologies is unique in the sense that it builds and operates the fiber-optic infrastructure within residential communities, but does not provide those services itself.  Instead, Connexion partners with entertainment, communication and security providers to bring services to residents. All service providers must meet high standards or risk being replaced.

Q: What have been the biggest obstacles your company has faced in the marketplace?
A:
The company struggled at first to convince investors to deploy large amounts of capital because telecommunications giants had found in the 1990s that deploying fiber throughout the country does not turn profits quickly.  The company also had to work to convince investors, developers and service providers of its ability to thrive in this uncharted territory where the provider is separated from the network.

Q: What do you see as your greatest challenges going forward?
A:
Connexion’s Fiber to the Home (FTTH) networks are built specifically with growth in mind.  Fiber offers virtually unlimited speed so, as customers demand new, bandwidth-hungry products and services, Connexion’s networks are ready for them.  Connexion maintains a very active product development team that researches potential partners that can bring new ideas and technologies to add to the company’s preferred provider product portfolio.  Also, the design of Connexion’s networks allow for seamless integration of new services, such as Advanced Digital TV and individually targeted video advertising, as they come to the market.

Q: What have been some of your company's most recent achievements
A:
Over the past two years, Connexion has been honored with several awards. In September 2006, our CEO was awarded the Corning FTTXcelence Award for contributions to the deployment of optical access networks in North America. Connexion Technologies was also honored in 2007 with an Innovative Housing Technology Award for Best Technology Integrator and TecHome Builder’s Options Technology/Technology Options (OTTO) Award for Best Vendor-Provided Collateral for Home Technology Products.

Q: Why is it important for your company to be a COMPTEL member?
A:
We hope that COMPTEL will allow us to engage others in our industry, share ideas and better understand the needs of our target audiences.
