Q: What does your company do and how long has it been in operation?
A:
Broadview Networks is a network-based business communications provider serving customers nationwide. Broadview provides the total solution for business communications, including local and long distance voice communications, premises-based and patented hosted VoIP systems, data services encompassing VPN and MPLS-enabled applications, traditional telephone hardware, high-speed Internet services, a full suite of managed services, and a range of professional services. Broadview customers have benefitted from award-winning customer service, including a web-based account management tool and a primary point-of-contact for real-time personal customer care, since 1991.

Q: To what do you attribute your company’s success in the communications industry?
A: Having evolved from a regional telecommunications carrier into one of the nation’s most innovative information technology and communications service providers, Broadview is unlike other providers in that we seamlessly blend next-generation technologies, including cloud- and network-based solutions, with traditional facilities-based services to enhance productivity without sacrificing quality or performance.

Q: What have been the biggest obstacles your company has faced in the marketplace?
A: One of Broadview’s obstacles has been finding reliable partners that can keep pace with our evolving portfolio of next-generation services. Unlike other providers, Broadview has augmented our original CLEC business model to include emerging technologies. Partners and carriers need to rapidly adapt to the emerging trends to stay ahead of business applications and demand.

Q: What do you see as your greatest challenges going forward?
A: As we continue to transform with the industry and customers, Broadview must continue to provide customers with access to their data and services through every device and access method customers demand. Mobility and transparency allow customers to shape their own services to better fit their needs.

Q: What have been some of your company’s most recent achievements (new customer wins, new service/product deployment, etc.)?
A:

  • Commendation for High Quality Service from New York State
  • Ranked 50th on Crain’s New York Business 2010 List of Largest Privately Held Companies
  • 2010 Internet Telephony Excellence Award for OfficeSuite’s USB Phone
  • Voted a Top 50 Channel Program by Phone+
  • Information Week 500 Top Technology Innovator
  • Named one of the “75 Coolest Telecom Service Providers” by CRN
  • Stevie Award for Customer Service
  • 2010 NGN Leadership Award
  • OfficeSuite Named “Product of the Year” by Unified Communications magazine

Q: Why is it important for your company to be a COMPTEL member?
A: Broadview recognizes the importance of the relationships we have developed with COMPTEL and its member companies. These partnerships promote and enhance Broadview’s leading-edge integrated communications solutions.
