Q: What does your company do and how long has it been in operation?
A: LSSiDATA, which is part of the Volt Information Sciences international family of organizations with over 60 years of success, provides business and government contact data to enable organizations of all types to identify, locate and engage with their customers, prospects and targets. LSSiDATA is a core provider of the National Directory Assistance database. More than 2 million updates per day, 6 days per week are completed to ensure accuracy. Opt-in wireless contact information is also provided with a unique 10-step quality process to optimize self-reported contact information.
Q: To what do you attribute your company’s success in the communications industry?
A: Quality with Quantity – Telephony sourced contact information needs to be accurate, but it is far from static. LSSiDATA has created automated systems and processes that update 2 million records daily.
Update Speed – More than 35 million people change their residence in the U.S annually. One of the first steps in the moving process is to notify a telephony provider. Direct relationships with telco providers ensure LSSiDATA more rapidly acquires change of residence information.
Massive Aggregation – More than 3,600 (and growing) telecommunication sources, as well as opt-in wireless source contribute to LSSiDATA repositories. Systems have been established to optimize quality for deduping the same record contributed from multiple sources, improving address quality and other detail for databases consisting of over 100 unique records.
Telephony Infrastructure – LSSiDATA is able to more cost effectively verify listing accuracy within DNC and other regulatory guidelines. LSSiDATA maintains its own automated outbound telephony infrastructure via peer business unit VoltDelta, enabling cost effective dialing with processes to ensure non-intrusive opt-in listing verification.
Telco Grade Service – LSSiDATA has been delivering Directory Assistance listings to Telecommunication providers for decades with exceptionally reliable service. Revenue producing DA demands accuracy as well as reliability for the hosted database. LSSiDATA’s systems and processes are tuned for rigorous telecommunication requirements
North America and Beyond – LSSiDATA provide contact information for the United States, Canada and territories. International data is available via LSSiEurope which also covers select countries in South America.
Experience – Decades of high volume data experience have contributed to automated solutions and unique process that improve contact data quality for names, address, phone numbers and associated detail.
Q: What have been the biggest obstacles your company has faced in the marketplace?
A: Telecommunication Acquisitions – Mergers and acquisitions within the telecommunication market have frequently resulted in listing delivery interruptions.
Inconsistent Reporting – Standards for contact information delivery and reporting can be quite different within a growing list of suppliers.
Q: What do you see as your greatest challenges going forward?
A: Wireless Data Education – Self reported opt-in contact information display characteristics different from other telephony sourced data. Education on quality optimization in particular is important to understand vs. focusing exclusively on record counts.
Q: What have been some of your company’s most recent achievements (new customer wins, new service/product deployment, etc.)?
A: New Wireless Data – Recently release an enhanced opt-in wireless file with notable mailability value.
