Q: What does your company do and how long has it been in operation?
A: Veryx Technologies – formerly Net-O2 Technologies – provides innovative test and measurement solutions for Network equipment manufacturers (NEMs) and Network service providers (NSPs). In business for 10 years, our test platform and test methodologies bring significant reduction in testing related investments while enhancing product quality and reducing time to market. Veryx ATTEST range of products is used for testing applications in service assurance, access, carrier Ethernet, data center, edge, enterprise, industrial networking and security.

Q: To what do you attribute your company’s success in the communications industry?
A: Our focus on testing. Veryx has singularly focused on the creation of innovative and unique solutions that enhance the productivity of testing. Using open, platform-based architectures, Veryx has differentiated itself through the offer of simple, high quality and affordable solutions. Veryx has partnered with technology and market leaders to leverage key customer relationships and mutually expand the market. 

Q: What have been some of your company’s most recent achievements (new customer wins, new service/product deployment, etc.)?
A: Veryx has recently released the industry’s first MEF CE 2.0 conformance test solution. Veryx ATTEST-CTS CE2 provides verification for both MEF CE 2.0 Ethernet Access (E-Access) Services and Ethernet Subscriber Services. It enables service providers and equipment manufacturers to quickly verify combinations of network functionality and performance measurements in real-time scenarios for different service types.
Veryx also has recently released support for ITU Y.1564 testing, which enables verification of the configuration and performance of Carrier Ethernet services prior to turning the service over to the customer for their use.

Q: Why is it important for your company to be a COMPTEL member?
A: Veryx is bringing its highly innovative, open platform solutions to the service provider market. COMPTEL is the premier communications service provider industry forum. Veryx's membership in COMPTEL is an affirmation of our commitment to this segment of the industry and a reaffirmation of our focus in serving the services assurance testing needs of COMPTEL members.

Q: What have been the biggest obstacles your company has faced in the marketplace?
A: Though the expansion of communication networks and services has stimulated the growth of the communications test and measurement equipment market, there is a significant focus by NSPs and NEMs to reduce CAPEX and OPEX.
Veryx’s focus on enabling a high level of automation in its solutions has enabled its 50+ customers, including Alcatel-Lucent, Nokia Siemens Networks, Ericsson, Motorola, HP and Intel to take advantage of this capability to achieve productivity gains not experienced previously.
Veryx ATTEST test suites enable better quality tested products leading to higher interoperability within networks and fewer issues in the field. Veryx software uses open platforms-based architectures, resulting in more affordable solutions.

Q: What do you see as your greatest challenges going forward?
A: Service providers are facing immense challenges in delivering services across multiple operators using multi-vendor platforms to connect their end points. There are multiple standards that are evolving for these systems and services.  Our customers are at the forefront of this tidal wave of technology innovation, driven by the increasing needs of mobility, social networking and the resulting seamless migration of computational abilities demanded by their customers. This evolution presents Veryx with a challenge and an opportunity. 
Veryx has typically demonstrated its leadership by launching its solutions well ahead of the market.  The greater challenge moving forward is to maintain this leadership while delivering scalable solutions that solve the challenges of the network service providers – also a significant opportunity that it is determined to seize.
