Robert P. Boetticher

Session: Going Green in the Data Center


Mr. Robert Boetticher is the Director for the US Service Provider Systems Engineering organization for Cisco Systems focused on Wireline and Emerging Providers.  He is responsible for field engineering and technical operations for Cisco’s US Wireline and Emerging Provider market.  Areas of focus include network architecture, product placement, customer satisfaction and engineering readiness for US wireline carriers and competitive service providers.
 
Mr. Boetticher has over 15 years of networking and telecommunications experience.  He started his career in New York City in the communications field focusing on the financial services sector. During his career, he has held various engineering and operational roles at networking equipment manufacturers.  He joined Cisco in 1997 and has worked in several technical and leadership roles supporting Cisco’s Service Provider, Enterprise, Public Sector, and Commercial markets. He was also the technology chairperson for Cisco’s NYC Civic council which enabled hardware grants to non profit organizations in NYC. Mr. Boetticher has spoken at several industry forums.

Mr. Boetticher received a Bachelor of Engineer Degree with Honor from Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey.  He also holds an MBA in Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business.  Mr. Boetticher is an active member of the IEEE.  He is a resident of Holmdel, NJ with his wife and two children.
